Seeker of Beauty

What exactly is beauty? Where do you find it? For myself, beauty is simply that which moves me. Sometimes I find beauty where many others find it for themselves and sometimes I find beauty where few others even deign to notice it. I hereby dedicate my life to seeking out and creating beauty so that the world might discover anew how to be moved by the fluttering of a butterfly's wing.

Sensitive Skin

I saw an amazing play tonight at the Elephant Asylum Theatre on Santa Monica Blvd. It was titled "Sensitive Skin" and it was supberbly written, directed and acted. Absolutely fantastic. I can't think of a single play I've seen in Los Angeles that tops it. Anyway, one of the actresses placed a quote in the program in place of a bio. I absolutely fell in love with it and I wanted to share it, so here it is...

"For us who travel in blood vessels, who come to the cities of the interior by chance, there is no preperation. We who were fluent find life as a foreign language. Somewhere between the swamp and the mountains. Somewhere between fear and sex. Somewhere between God and the Devil passion is and the way there is sudden and the way back is worse." ~Jaenette Winterson
